I was forwarded an email about two dozen cats needing homes. I contacted the lady at the email address listed at the bottom of the email to:

(1) make sure it was real, and
(2) get further information.

An organization called Best Friends Animal Society (located in Utah) was contacted by a woman in the Las Vegas area who is in desperate need of help with her cats. This is an individual who has rescued cats but not placed them into other homes. Due to serious health issues, she has realized that this is not a good situation for her or for her cats, and contacted Best Friends Animal Society for help. Unlike many such situations, these cats are all healthy, well-fed, fixed, friendly, and used to living indoors.

Liz Finch is the first contact for this, but then she plans to pass along good leads directly to the woman with the cats and have her make arrangements. The woman does have family in L.A. and said she'd be willing to do some transport, and they may be able to help network rides especially if there are a number of them going to the same area. So for those of you in the Inland Empire, you may still be able to take one of these kitties even though they are currently in Las Vegas.
