I have a friend who lives in Rancho Cucamonga and has a small friendly grey stray kitty hanging around her porch who needs a home (see message below). I am staying at my mom's this weekend and would be happy to transport the kitty to anywhere in the Inland Empire if a match is found. Also, if anyone in or near the Antelope Valley is interested, I could bring the kitty with me and drop it off on my way home.
Pictures of the kitty may be viewed here: http://www.photoninja.net/gallery/GreyKitty
Message from Serina:
Hi Becky,
It's my turn to need help with a kitty. I've seen this little grey kitty around my complex for some time now. Yesterday we went onto the porch and found him nesting under the tarp of the bbq and he hasn't left since. Apparently he's adopted my porch as his new home. He's pretty small still but he doesn't appear to be malnourished. I know a few neighbors have been feeding him but no one seems to know if he belongs to someone. He's very, very sweet - weaving in and out of our legs any time he sees us. He's not very street smart, as he followed us into the street when we were taking out the trash and almost got hit by a car... he just sat in the road and I had to scream at the car to get them to stop and then yell and chase the kitty out of the road! So, he might need to be an indoor cat, or at least not in a busy area.
Needless to say, I can't just leave him to die in this large busy complex filled with careless drivers. And you've met my cat Emmy - she won't have any other cats in the house. Plus she [Emma, not the grey kitty] tested positive for feline leukemia so I can't even entertain the idea of keeping him and exposing him to that disease, even if Emmy would accept him. Please send these pictures out as maybe someone can help this little kitty boy find a home. :(
They can contact me directly and I'd be willing to work out a transport plan with anyone that lives within an hour or so of Rancho Cucamonga ... or down to San Diego if the case may be, as I'm down there pretty regularly.
Thanks for your help,
Serina <<contact info removed from archive>>
